There’s quite a lot happening for Team Telemark as we start the new year. Here is some important information as we head into the first few weeks of January.
Clarifications on Public Health Orders relating to sport
As you are all aware, there were some new public health orders issued on December 23rd. As it stands right now, club activities, and even nordic/biathlon races are permitted. Races are considered events where team members compete against each other on an individual basis.That’s great news for our season! For full details, click on the images below. Please be aware that some events may have additional protocols in place.

Jan 1-2: Thompson/Okanagan BC Winter Games Zone 2 trials in Revelstoke
Coaches Jamie, Paul, Alex and Deren will lead our T2T skiers at our Zone‘s nordic qualification event for the 2022 BC Winter Games on January 2nd. This will be an exciting event. Full details about race support can be found on the post for the event.
Jan 4-11: Canadian Olympic, U23 and World Junior Championships trials in Canmore
Adam and Alex will be leading our Team as they compete against the best in Canada at the Canadian 2022 Beijing Olympics trials, U23 and World Junior Championship trials. The best skiers in Canada will be on the course vying for spots in a very competitive field.
Jan 3-18: Biathlon World Cup in Oberhof Germany and IBU Cup in Osrblie Slovakia
Coach Chris will be leading the Canadian National Biathlon team as they compete in their final selection events for the 2022 Beijing Olympic Games. Chris’ first stop will be the IBU World Cup #5 in Oberhof Germany, and then the team will head to Osrblie Slovakia for IBU Cup #4.
