FIRST AID INFORMATION
Basic First Aid: Basic first aid supplies are located at the day lodge front counter, as well as the Biathlon Fort.
First Aid Room: A well-stocked first aid room with a bed is located downstairs in the day lodge
Rescue Toboggan: A well-stocked rescue toboggan is located outside the day lodge.
AED (Defibrillator): Located in the Telemark day lodge upper floor beside the rear exit door.

Directions (from Glenrosa Overpass)
- Head north up Glenrosa from the the Glenrosa/Highway 97 overpass
- Keep driving up the hill to aprox 10km
- Telemark Nordic is located on the left hand side of the road. The main lodge is aprox. 200m past the entrance to the parking lot.
- There is a locked gate at the end of the parking lot. If keys are required, go see the GM in the main lodge.

Emergency Procedures
Car accident on Glenrosa
- Assign a lead responsible for activating EMS and remaining onsite until EMS arrives.
- Activate emergency services immediately.
- Ensure other bystanders is out of harms way.
- Assign helper parent to escort uninjured kids to parking lot for pickup.
- Perform first aid as required if safe to do so.
Skiing accident on trail
- Assess the situation for severity and additional safety hazards.
- Assign a lead responsible for activating EMS and remaining onsite until EMS arrives.
- Activate emergency services immediately. This may require returning to the main lodge.
- Ensure other bystanders is out of harms way.
- Assign helper parent to escort uninjured kids to parking lot for pickup.
- Perform first aid as required if safe to do so.
Lost/Overdue Athlete
- Each ski group is assigned a lead coach who will ensure that they start and finish with the same number of athletes before leaving the main lodge.
- Group head count – identify which athlete is missing and when/where the last time he/she was seen.
- Establish a command center for coaches to report back.
- Coaches split into teams and re-trace actions.
- Allot a certain amount of time that each team should be away from the command center before reporting back.
- Use radios if available
- If the athlete is missing in a dangerous area and is not found in a reasonable time contact the local search & rescue or RCMP detachment.
Allergic Reaction/Illness
- Review allergy and medication list for each athlete from parents/guardians at the start of each season.
- Assess athletes for allergic reaction/illness. If the incident is life threatening call 911. If the incident is not life threatening but requires a doctor, take the athlete to a hospital or clinic.
- Contact the athlete’s parents. In the event that his/her parents are unreachable contact the alternate contact on the Athlete Emergency Contact list.
