Team Telemark Shows Strongly at Nationals

March 24, 2025 Posted by Chris Halldorson

Telemark skiers performed strongly at the Nordiq Canada’s Canadian National Championships this month. Telemark was represented by Kira, Allie, Ayla, Bronwyn, Teagan, Maddie, Eloïse, Kiara, Mika, Tyler, Chase, Rio, Luca, Liam, Isabella, Garrett and Breagh. All 17 athletes competed against the best skiers in the country at the 2025 Canadian National Championships, which were held in Canmore Alberta. Full results for the competitions can be found on Zone 4: https://zone4.ca/event/2025/pl6NzJ/

Meanwhile, Tyler was the sole Telemark athlete competing at the Biathlon Canada’s Canadian National Championships, which were held in Valcartier Quebec. Check out Tyler’s results here: https://fqbiathlon.ca/championnat-canadien-et-nord-americain-2025/

Telemark contributes to BC Domination

Team Telemark’s strong showing also helped to contribute to the divisional aggregate score. Racers contribute points to a running tally throughout the championships. The higher a skier places, the more points they score for their province. This year British Columbia won the aggregate championship in BOTH Biathlon and Cross Country Skiing!

It takes a village

The national championships is a culmination of a full year’s worth of training. Our athletes could not have performed to their potential without the support from our entire community of parents, volunteers and coaches!
