This is Information for Families attending the December 30th Teck Race #1 In Revelstoke this weekend!
Ski prep: We are asking families to have their glide wax on their skis( and grip wax clean). Suggestions from the wax tech are something in the -4/+4 range such as Toko Red or Swix ps8. We will have grip wax covered for the races!
Friday pre skiing: For those who are in Revy tomorrow after noon, there will be a group course ski through with some superstar parent/coaches @ 2pm. Please wear some Telemark team gear and meet on the trails outside the lodge. The group will split up into different course recon groups.
Team meeting: For all those available to make a team meeting there will be a video meeting at 7pm. Link for team meeting here! as well as on google calendar! This should be a short meeting with just sharing arrival details courses and any last minute details that we are given by the race director tomorrow.

Course Conditions and Changes
Following a grooming and ski test this morning (Thursday), the race organizing committee has decided to alter the 4km and 5km courses to provide the best snow conditions for all athletes.
As with many areas of the province, we’re dealing with a below-average snowpack and as a result our classic tracks along the bottom half of the courses may be softer/thinner than usual, and our team is still assessing whether we should use the cat or ginzu for race grooming on Friday night. For reference, we’ve got an icy base that has mostly held up quite well with a few cm of new snow on top, temperatures this morning were around 0C at the lodge, and we’re not expecting new snow before race day.
New 4km and 5km course maps are available on our website – https://www.revelstokenordic.org/race-maps/
Updated-4km-U14-U18
Updated-5km-U16-U20-Open-Masters
All other distances remain the same. We’ve also uploaded a stadium map for your reference, if there are any questions about where to set up your tent, please just ask!
Bib & Day pass Pick up:
Bib pick up will be from 9am onwards from the race office (table) on the main floor of lodge (if it’s warm we will be on deck but likely inside). Please return any DNS bibs ASAP. If your families purchased day passes we will have them available on the main floor as well on Saturday or from the ticket office on Friday. Friday day passes are included in the race entry UNLESS you are a non racer or family member then you purchase a day pass at the lodge on ANY day for skiing.
Food & Drink
Our Nationals racers will be having a bake sale so they would really appreciate anyone’s support! Water, coffee and tea will also be available at the lodge. Please bring any additional food you might need.
Parking & Shuttle
Parking as you are likely aware is often tight on race days. Please encourage your families to carpool and use the shuttle which is running a constant loop from the bottom of the hill at Ed’s Gas (721-753 Hwy 23 South, Big Eddy across the highway from the Big Eddy pub) up to the lodge from 8am-4pm
Looking forward to a great weekend!!!
See you all tomorrow!
Any info given will be posted here as well as Parents whatsapp chat. Please reach out if you are not on the chat and want to be!
