This Saturday we will be running a roller ski practice for the JD and TR1 athletes at South Kelowna Elementary (SEK). This will be a great opportunity for athletes that have not done much roller skiing before, as we will be breaking into groups for the roller ski part of the workout, with one group focusing on introductory skills. We’ll have some extra roller skis with us, so it’s OK to come even if you don’t have your own pair. We will make sure that anybody who comes (and brings the rest of their gear!) will get to ski.
High visibility shirts, poles, and helmets are required for roller skiing, visi vests and gloves are recommended. If you are newer to roller skiing, a tough pair of shorts and gloves are a really good plan.
We’ll also be doing dryland strength, agility, and stretching, as well as lots of fun relays and games, so bring running shoes and water too!
