Our 2nd annual winter raffle is under way! Each athlete is responsible to sell a minimum of 1 book of 20 tickets ($5 a ticket, $100 a book). As voted in the last parent meeting, this mandatory book is to be payed for up front by making a cheque out to Telemark Nordic Club. If this is a problem for any family please come see me. About half our athletes have picked up their tickets. Please seem me (Coach Deepa) if you have not got your tickets yet. I will be available at the next parent meeting, in Price George and at most all-team and JD practices.
Raffle ticket sales can provide great teaching moments and life learning opportunities for young athletes. Write a script; practice what you will say; start with relatives and work your way up. Skills learned may one day help when you are asking for something bigger, like a job, or someone’s hand in marriage ; )
