The 2022-23 Season is here! Time to Register with Team Telemark!

All of the coaches at Telemark are excited to see everyone after a hot summer. We hope that you are all ready for a great ski season. Before you scrape your summer wax off of your skis, please take a moment to sign up for our programs.

We have 2 registration forms, depending on how old you are.

If you are 12 or older, and registering for our competitive XC programs (Train to Train, Learn to Compete) or our competitive Biathlon programs (Biathlon Bears Train to Train 1, Biathlon Train to Train 2, Biathlon Learn to Compete) click the button below to register:

TELEMARK TRIATHLON THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 8TH + THIS WEEK’S DETAILS

Hello Ski Fans,

Welcome back to September Ski Programs. In this email:

  • Telemark Triathlon September 8th 2022 details
  • Regional Dry-land Camp September 24-25th 2022 registration details
  • T2T athlete and parent individual meeting signup details with coach Adam September 5-7th 2022

2022 Telemark 14th Annual Triathlon 5:30 pm Start Sept 8th Gellatly Nut Farm Whitworth Rd. West Kelowna

The swim will be at touching depth as usual now.

Meet at 5:30 to go over the course.

Track Attack and older Skiers are encouraged to attend this Fun Event!

Well it is here again our annual team Triathlon. Following the traditional format of Swim, Roller Ski and Run. Again This year we will have a “Younger Athlete (L2T or Track Attack)” and “Never Roller Skied” category for those who do not want to be introduced to roller skiing in a race format (highly recommended). Come take part in this great fun event!

Never Roller  (Track Attack)     300m Swim                             Out and Back

Skied?                    1300m Run                             One Outer Loop and One Inner Loop

Young             300m Swim                             Out and Back

2400m Ski                               One Full Lap

1300m Run                             One Outer Loop and One Inner Loop

Standard            600m Swim                             Out and Back Twice

4400m Ski                               2 Laps, 2nd lap not going to the North End

2600m Run                             an Outer Lap Followed by an Inner Lap then

Another Outer Lap followed by an Inner Lap

Advanced        600m Swim                             Out and Back Twice

4800m Ski                               2 Full Laps. Returning to the Park each Lap

2600m Run                             an Outer Lap Followed by an Inner Lap then

Another Outer Lap followed by an Inner Lap

RULES

Swim 

Circle the Buoy at the end of each length

If you do not complete your Swim you may Continue Racing but only 5 minutes after the slowest Swimmer has started their Roller Ski.

Roller Ski

You will only be allowed to start if you have a Helmet, Reflective Vest (or High Visibility Shirt) and ski Equipment on.

Stay on the Right side of the Road

Do not Cross the Centerline on Corners. Penalty or Disqualification

Run

Stay on the Right side of the Road

Remember

Swim Suit and Goggles, Helmet, Reflective Vest, High Visibility Shirt, Gloves, Ski Boots, Poles, Roller Skis and Extra Skis if possible, Shoes, Recovery Food and Warm Clothes for after.

September 24-25th we will host the Regional Camp at Telemark

  • Registered ASAP via the Zone4 link in the Camp Notice
  • The camp begins at 9 am at Glenrosa Middle School
  • Camp details including the preliminary schedule are available HERE

T2T athlete and parent meetings with coach Adam

  • I would love to meet with the T2T athletes to discuss progress on your spring goals and the upcoming season
  • The zoom meetings will be about 15 minutes long
  • Dates are the evenings of Monday September 5th and September 7th 2022
  • Please bring your spring goals
