JD will be up at Telemark on Tue night no matter what the weather so dress appropriately. I have skate in the calendar but please bring both skate and classic ready to go as I am not sure if there will be track set or what the grooming status will be.
Classics can be prepared as per Ross’s earlier post link. I recommend you make sure the glide zones of both classic and skate skies are freshly waxed to have added protection from early season trail conditions.

Our 4th annual winter raffle is under way! Each athlete is responsible to sell a minimum of 1 book of 20 tickets ($5 a ticket, $100 a book). Books are to be paid for up front with a cheque payable to Telemark Nordic Club and can be post dated for the end of February . ALL tickets MUST be returned before the draw (i.e., put your name on unsold tickets and enter the draw). Families and athletes who have not fulfilled their required $250 of fund-raising effort, take this opportunity to sell MORE books!! Nadine will be distributing tickets and collecting cheques. Raffle ticket sales can provide great teaching moments and life learning opportunities for young athletes. I encourage athletes to get involved in ticket sales to help support their race team. Write a script of your sales pitch; practice what you will say; start with relatives and work your way up. Print off the poster below and use it to promote sales. Come out to a team supported ticket sale opportunity (e.g., at races and demo days). Skills learned may one day help when you are asking for something bigger, like a job, or someone’s hand in marriage ; )
