Our 4th annual winter raffle is under way! Each athlete is responsible to sell a minimum of 1 book of 20 tickets ($5 a ticket, $100 a book). Books are to be paid for up front with a cheque payable to Telemark Nordic Club and can be post dated for the end of February . ALL tickets MUST be returned before the draw (i.e., put your name on unsold tickets and enter the draw). Families and athletes who have not fulfilled their required $250 of fund-raising effort, take this opportunity to sell MORE books!! Nadine will be distributing tickets and collecting cheques. Raffle ticket sales can provide great teaching moments and life learning opportunities for young athletes. I encourage athletes to get involved in ticket sales to help support their race team. Write a script of your sales pitch; practice what you will say; start with relatives and work your way up. Print off the poster below and use it to promote sales. Come out to a team supported ticket sale opportunity (e.g., at races and demo days). Skills learned may one day help when you are asking for something bigger, like a job, or someone’s hand in marriage ; )
