3rd Week of December; Candy Cane Cup Season

Hello Ski Fans,

3 Covid Plan reminders of the Week! Follow the Link to Read the entire Plan!

  • Athletes are required to inform their head coach if they get sick immediately
  • Positive Covid test results are required to be shared with the athlete’s head coach immediately
  • 3 Meters is the new 2 Meters! As of December 3rd Program Participants need to maintain a minimum of 3 meters distance from each other

All of the Races we were planning to attend in January have now been Canceled including the Whistler BC Cup. We do have an exciting club race series planned starting this weekend with the Candy Cane Cup Series.

Track Attack and older programs will us Skate Technique for Tuesday December 15th.

  • 5-7:30 pm L2C Learn to Compete. Sprint Variety Pack, MAS workout. Timing Hut
  • 5:50-7:30 pm T2T Train to Train. Sprint Variety Pack, MAS workout “Kar Hill”
  • 6-7:30 pm Track Attack. “Elliot Hill”

Thursday December 17th will be Classic for Train to Train and Learn to Compete.

  • 5-7:30 pm L2C Learn to Compete. AnT workout. Timing Hut
  • 5:50-7:30 pm T2T Train to Train. Sprint Variety Pack. “Kar Hill”

8:30 am Saturday December 19th Start time for Track Attack and Older Programs. Skate Technique. Please meet at the usual Rally points.

Individual Start Times. Track Attack to Race two laps of “Squirrely A”. T2T and older to race on the “3.75 km” race course with the addition of entering Roller Coaster at Easy Street instead of the ultra steep “Breagh and Clair Hill.” 3.75 km Original Course Link Here.

After a warmup we will have an 8:50 am race start “Track Attack A” followed shortly by “Track Attack B.” The T2T and L2C groups will have their interval start at 9:15 am.

U18 + 3 laps, U16 and T2T-2 2 laps and T2T-1 1 lap.

Squirrely A Course

There are Four Events planned in the Candy Cane Cup Series over the Holiday Break. The first is Skate Distance on Saturday. Sunday has the a Candy Cane Cup Biathlon Sprint Event. Sunday December 27th we will run a Candy Cane Cup Classic Distance Race. Saturday January 2nd we plan on running at Candy Cane Cup Team Sprint Event Skate.

  • Dec 20th Candy Cane Cup Sprint Biathlon
  • Dec 27th Candy Cane Classic TT
  • Jan 2nd Candy Cane Skate Sprint; Individual Qualifier plus Team Sprint
  • Jan 23rd BC Team Skate TT 5/10
  • Jan 24th BC Team Classic TT 5/10
  • Jan 30th Crystal TT Skate Fall Season Series Final
  • Feb 20th Uphill TT Summer Rd, Downhill TT Telemark Down
  • Feb 27th Relay Race
  • Mar 13th Kings Court Sprint
  • Mar 14th Skiathlon Pursuit Spring Series Final
  • Additional Biathlon Events to be added
