Telemark One Day Dryland Camp

Telemark Training Camp –  TR1 and JD  – Oct 19, 2013 – Schedule

 9:30              meet at Helen Gorman School (TR and JD skiers) Tr1’s roller ski to Telemark from school, JD’s shuttled to top of steep climb or Cattle guard

OPTION: if inexperienced roller skiing? Run to Telemark

 11-12   Arrive at Telemark – free time

 12:00             lunch – on own – Watch video?

 12:30             Team building activities / Get to know each other games

 1:00            Discuss what make a good team mate, sport helps success in life, etc.  Team goal setting for practices and races

1:30            Individual goal setting – fill out goal setting worksheet (divide into small groups to help with ideas).

 1:45              Core / movement patterns / balance

 2:15            Education – LTAD model, basic energy systems, PHV, etc.

 2:45            capture the flag / snack

 3:15            45 – 1 hour run / hike – GPS orienteering, regular orienteering, clue map? Divide into groups based on ability?

 4:15             stretching

 4:30             pot luck with all the parents

 What to Bring:

Rollerski gear
Helmet, gloves, and reflective vest
Ski striding poles
Waterbottle & holder
Lunch & Snacks
Running shoes
Rain Gear
Warm Ski Gear, gloves, toques
Multiple changes of clothes
Good attitude
Goal worksheet downloaded from website – you can find this in this year’s information package
Pen and paper
