Telemark Internal Gear Swap This Saturday Oct 1st

September 26, 2022 Posted by Chris Halldorson

Outgrown your old ski gear? Hoping to find a pair of quality used skis to race on this winter? Telemark is organizing an “internal” gear swap so that members of our Track Attack, Train to Train, Learn to Compete and Biathlon programs can meet and try to match families who have outgrown their gear with families seeking new gear! This is a great chance to find ski gear before our PUBLIC ski swap (Scheduled for October 22nd).

Where:

Telemark Main Lodge —> Basement

When:

Saturday Oct 1st

  • Drop off equipment between 9:30 and 10:30am
  • Swap begins after our club day camp (aprox. 2:30pm)

What to bring:

Any cross country ski gear in GOOD condition

  • Cross Country Skis
    • Skis must be labeled with the seller’s name, phone number and asking price
      • Bonus information includes you know what weight range the skis are for
    • Skis should be free from any glide wax
    • Skis must be be especially free from any grip wax!
    • Seriously, clean off your grip wax before the swap!!!!
  • Cross Country Ski Poles
    • Poles must be labeled with the seller’s name, phone number and asking price
    • Poles should include straps and baskets
  • Cross Country Ski Boots
    • Boots must be labeled with the seller’s name, phone number and asking price

Sales Process

  • Drop off your gear in the morning and we’ll organize it into different categories (Classic skis, skate skis, poles etc)
  • A Telemark Coach will be on hand to assist helping to choose equipment that fits
  • All sales are directly between the seller and the purchaser. Both parties should be on site for the actual sale at 2:30pm
    • Unlike our public ski swap, this is not a fundraiser for our team, so all payments are strictly between the seller and buyer
  • Immediately after the swap: collect any unsold equipment
