Team Telemark Bottle Drive Sunday Nov 8th 10am

October 31, 2020 Posted by Paul

We need everyone’s help to raise funds to meet our operating costs for this year due to a number of regular fundraising opportunities being cancelled.

First up Bottle Drive, Sunday November 8th 10am in West Kelowna.  Volunteer sign up is here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0a45aea62ca0f94-bottle

We will canvas Westside neighbourhoods, knocking on doors asking for bottles that we will return to the depot after sorting at a designated area. Ask your friends, family, neighbours in advance for their bottles, post to your neighbourhood facebook group. Put a flyer on your super mailbox. Our goal is to raise $1000 plus in one day.

Please sign up to canvas a neighborhood or sort bottles. (sign up genius link coming on Sunday) Trucks or vehicles needed with space for bottles, mini-vans SUV’s. We will pair off in groups with 1-2 adults and 2-4 youth athletes to knock on doors. Remember to social distance. Wear gloves, masks (Covid) and telemark jackets if you have one.

One of our Telemark Families (Pip Akins and Lisa Paynter) have kindly offered that we use their property to sort the bottles at 3651 Glencoe Road. It will take a few hours and several people to sort the bottles on Sunday Nov 8th before taking them to the depot on Monday (westside closed sunday)

You can drop bottles in advance at the Paynter-Akins place, they live on the way to Telemark. You can also return bottles anytime to a Return It depot (anywhere in BC) and the money will be deposited to Telemark account # 250-707-5925 (Telemark general phone number)
