I have to say, it was pretty incredible to be skiing at -10 in the third week of October. Wow. Anyhow, we have some changes for this week due to there being an actual groomed trail at Telemark (no, it won’t last long, but Mike, in his amazingness, groomed anyways).
T2T (Train to Train) Tuesday we’ll be skiing CL at Telemark. Bring rock skis and headlamps.
T2T (Train to Train) Thursday we’ll be running at Knox. No poles for this session.
T2T (Train to Train) Saturday athlete schedule – big day. Show up at 10 ready to help out with the Telemark Work Party. Bring gloves and trail clearing tools if you have them. Also bring running clothes. Schedule:

12:00 – 1:00 Lunch and goal setting
1:00 – 1:45 Athlete wax clinic (on the red fence next to the groomer shed)
2:00 – 3:30 Adventure run

L2C (Learn to Compete) Skiing Tuesday Classic and Wednesday Skate at Telemark. Early Season Skis are highly recommended. Saturday TBA.

Ski Swap Weekend. The weekend of October 31st and November 1st we will be hosting a ski swap outside of Kelowna Cycle. This will require a lot of team volunteers to run.

Early-bird consignment at Kelowna Cycle Friday and Saturday during open hours.

Equipment & Cheque pick-up 6pm-8pm Sunday Nov 1st
consignment fee of $2 per item.
20% goes to the Club as a fundraiser
Internal Ski Swap – If you have gear or clothing (including team clothing) which has been outgrown please bring it early Tuesday and Saturday. It might be a good time to figure out what you will need for the coming season. Coaches can provide some advice.
October 29th Telemark Team Clothing Discount Deadline There is a discount code for the delivery if on orders before October 29th. The discount code is TELEMARK2020. Details about ordering the clothing are found on our website here! This year there is a Puffy Jacket option which will only be available until October 29th. The Puffy Jacket will also be delivered to the club in one group shipment instead of the individually. The Puffy is a rebranded “Sport Tech” jacket so it should fit similarly to the older “Sport Tech” jackets we have around.
