Information about the Race can Be found HERE
April 25th 5km, 16km and 27km plus a 1.5km free kids race.
Basically, it is a great event right here on our home Trails. Many of you took part last year. I ran the 16 km which is a great course.
Rene can Really explain it better than I can “Spring Rush, located in West Kelowna, is one tough cookie of a race! The 27k is notably one of the hardest of it’s distance within BC with 3600 feet of technical and steep terrain. The 16k is no small potato either with almost 2,000 feet elevation gain and even our 5km course has a whopping 800 feet in it! The terrain in all 3 distances has approx. 95% single-track. Oh! And we give away homemade apple pie as prizes.
Selling out in it’s first year, Spring Rush makes her impression fast with all three race courses providing runners with magnificent views. The trails in Rose Valley are referred to as the “hidden gem” in West Kelowna and it’s really hard to give our course justice in a write up. You’ll just have to trust us and get your butt out there to see for yourself.
The 16k loop will treat runners to a variety of terrain and the trail eventually drops down and carries on along side beautiful Rose Valley Reservoir. The 25k runners will be challenged with undulating climbs through-out and one monster climb under the infamous “Rock Bridge” where their reward will be stunning views and a fast, fun, switchback descent.”
Do It!
