REGISTRATION | Registration and fee payment is online only at: Zone 4. Registrants are responsible for checking the Zone4 confirmation list. Coaches are required to register at Zone4. No fees will be charged. It you experience any difficulties or have questions about registration, please contact the Race Secretary. | ||||
RACE ENTRY DEADLINE | Race entry deadline is Tuesday, February 6th, 2024 at Midnight PST Late entries will be accepted until Wednesday February 7th, 2024 at midnight PST and will be subject to a $30.00 per race late entry fee. Late entries will not be seeded. Please contact RS for assistance as the web registration will be closed. | ||||
CANCELLATIONS | A decision to cancel this event will be made in consultation with Cross Country BC, the organizing committee and the Technical Delegate. A decision to cancel one or more days of competition, or races for specific age categories due to the race conditions will be made by the Technical Delegate in consultation with the jury. | ||||
REFUNDS | In the event of cancellation by race organizers, a refund of registration fees less administration, Zone4 online booking fees and event expenses already incurred will be provide post-event. No refunds will be provided if an athlete does not participate in a race. | ||||
LICENCES | All competitors skiing in U14 to Master categories must have a current race licence. The following licences are acceptable: Nordiq Canada LicenceFIS LicenseOther National Ski LicenceNordiq Canada Tier 3 Event License Competitors in U12 and younger categories do not need a license to compete but must be members in good standing of a Nordiq Canada affiliated club. | ||||
SEEDING: | The most current Canada Points List will be used for the draw for all categories except Masters and U12 and younger whereby the leading points holder will have the first position in the start grid/chevron. If two or more age categories of the same gender are skiing a common distance, they will be seeded together using the current Canada Points List. These categories will be combined for the start list but will be separated for results and awards. For competitors in Masters category and U12 and younger categories will be grouped together by their age/gender category and the start order will be determined by a random draw. If any of these categories has large numbers of entries the race organizing committee and the Technical Delegate may, at their discretion, separate the category into the 2 distinct year of birth categories and use a random draw to determine the order of start. | ||||
START LISTS | Start lists will be posted in the breezeway and on Zone4 by 12:00 pm on February 9th, 2024. | ||||
COURSE MAPS | Course maps are available on the event website. Courses are subject to change in response to low snow conditions. | ||||
RACE OFFICE | The race office will be in the WOP technical building by the XC stadium. The race office will be open from 7:15-4:00 on race days and at 10:00-4:00 on the training day. | ||||
BIB & CHIP PICKUP | Bibs and timing chips will be picked up by each athlete on the way to the start area. Bibs not picked up will be marked as DNS. | ||||
AWARDS | Teck, a diversified resource company based in BC, is the title sponsor of the BC Cup Series. Teck provides awards for U16 and under. Each day’s award ceremony will occur directly after the completion of the final race of the day in the stadium. | ||||
U8 | All will receive a special Teck participant ribbon. | ||||
U10-U16 | Teck medals for top 3 finishers by YOB Teck ribbons for 4th and 5th place finishers. | ||||
U18 | BTNES medal for top 3 by YOB. | ||||

FACILITIES | A ski lodge, café and washrooms are located in Whistler Olympic Park. Refer to WOP’s Conditions Page for updated facilities information. | ||||
CONCESSION | The café at WOP Day Lodge offers food and beverages. | ||||
PARKING | Parking is available in the designated lots as directed by WOP staff upon arrival. | ||||
TRAIL FEES | Registered athletes, coaches, and team staff will receive a trail ticket for the days selected during registration. These will be available for pick up at the main gate house as of February 9. If visiting the venue prior to February 9th, all visitors must purchase tickets online or in person. Tickets & Passes | Whistler Olympic Park Use the following lanes to scan tickets/passes or to make a purchase. Lane 1: Scan only (season passes and pre-purchased tickets)Lane 2: Pay & Scan (season passes, pre-purchased tickets, and day-of purchases)Lane 3: Pay & Scan (season passes, pre-purchased tickets, and day-of purchases) Parents/guardians dropping participants off must also purchase a day ticket (online or in person) or present a season pass if they plan to ski or snowshoe. Gate access times to be confirmed prior to the event. All vehicles must stop at the gate on arrival. If you arrive and the gate is closed, please park in a line outside the inbound gate. Please do not park in front of the outbound gate or attempt to follow vehicles into the park through the outbound gate. | ||||
WAX CABINS | Wax cabins are available for rent for $50.00 per day. Contact the Competition Secretary for wax cabin requests.- We have one booked already | ||||
WAX TESTING | A wax testing/warm up area will be designated near the cross-country stadium. Wax testing on course will be at the discretion of the jury. A wax testing map is available on the event webpage. | ||||
WAX RULE | Cross country BC has adopted a No-fluoro policy for all ages categories at all Teck BC Cup races, please see CCBC Rule Regarding the Use of Flourinated Waxes. Adherence to this protocol is the responsibility of coaches, parents, and wax technicians. | ||||
