TECK Regional Dry-land Camp Notice 2012

TECK Interior Regional Dry-land Camp

PEACHLAND

Dates: 6pm Friday September 21st – 1 pm Sunday September 23rd 2012
Eligibility:  Interior Skiers Born 2003 to 1992
Location:
Maple Springs Bible Camp in Peachland

Camp Begins:           6:00 PM on Friday September 21rd.  You are expected to arrive on time.  Dinner will be provided on Friday so please be ready to eat at 7pm

Meeting Point:           Maple Springs Bible Camp.  (Go around the first switchback ALL THE WAY to the dead end at bottom on the gravel road.  Don’t stop at the parking lot!)

Camp Ends:               1:00 PM on Sunday September 23rd.  This camp has a full participation policy.  This means that participants are expected to arrive before the camp starts on September 21rd and stay until the camp ends on September 23rd unless you have made prior arrangements with the Camp Coordinator.

Camp Fee:                 The camp fee is $117.00 plus Zone4.ca processing fees

This includes accommodation (Friday and Saturday nights), meals (Friday Evening through to Sunday lunch)

  • Reflective vests and helmets are mandatory for roller ski sessions. You will not be allowed to participate in roller ski sessions if you do not have them!

Head Lamp!!!

¨  Medical number and/or Care Card

¨  Rain jacket

¨  Training clothes for very hot through to cold miserable weather

¨  Running shoes

¨  Long underwear

¨  Socks – bring lots of extra socks in case of wet weather

¨  Large daypack (suitable for hiking)

¨  Sun hat (baseball cap) & toque

¨  Gloves

¨  Sun screen and lip cream (with sun block)

¨  Shorts / pants / sweatshirt / t-shirt (casual clothes)

¨  Bathing suit

¨  Towel

¨  Personal hygiene items (soap, shampoo, toothbrush, deodorant etc.)

¨  Sleeping Bag and Pillow

¨  Skate boots

¨  Roller skis (skate)

¨  Roller ski polls (skate)

¨  Heart Rate Monitor

¨  Ski striding poles (10 cm shorter than classic)

¨  Bike helmet & reflective vests for roller-skiing

¨  Water Bottles and Carrier (2 litre capacity)
