Reflective Vests and Crunch Mats

October 22, 2012 Posted by Coach Adam

I am Back From Frozen Thunder. This was great opportunity for me to spend some time with some very highly qualified coaches (national and training centre) and Canada’s leading xc skiing exercise physiologists. It was insightful to say the least. The skiers who came got to training with BC’s best from Black Jack and Hollyburn and rub shoulders with many training centre skiers and national team members from USA and Canada. It was good!

From Now on in the year Reflective vest are Necessary for roller skiing not just the High Visibility shirts. Obviously, helmets, gloves, water and flashing lights are also good ideas when roller skiing.

Also, most times the grass is wet now so Bring a Camp or yoga mat to do crunches on to every dry-land practise from now on.

When one comes to a running practise they should bring hill bounding poles; poles which are 10-15 cm shorter than their shoulder.

Please come prepared,

Adam

Ps. please support our up coming ski swap, cyclocross race and Parents Meeting
