October 21, 2020 Posted by Coach Adam

Hello Ski Fans, If anyone has skate roller skis which are not being used please bring them to the morning training session.

What to Bring: In General it looks like Saturday could be relatively cold so please come prepared with lots of appropriate clothing and fresh dry gear to change into between sessions.

  • Extra warm clothing
  • Roller skis, poles, boots, gloves, helmet, high-vis clothing
  • Lunch
  • Running clothes
  • More extra warm clothing
  • Any skis, boots, poles, clothing, roller skis that you want to sell to your awesome teammates
  • Some way to pay for the skis, boots, poles, clothing, roller skis that you want to buy from your awesome teammates

Track Attack will be meeting at Glenrosa Middle School at 9 am for a intro to roller skis session. Required equipment for the Roller Skiing Session: Skate Ski Boots, Helmet, Gloves and Running Shoes. Skate Poles could potentially be used dependent on skiers progress. They will then transition to Telemark for other dryland activities including a Games and Poker Running after their Lunch Time. If you have Skate Roller Skis bring them. We will try to round up enough pairs of skis that everyone will get to try them out. Done by 2 pm.

T2T (Train to Train) will also meet at Glenrosa Middle School at 9 am for their Skate Roller ski session. They will be skiing to Telemark and doing a time trial a long the way before the lunch break and the other dryland activities including a Games and Poker Run. After this we will transition to approximately an hour and a half of trail clearing; bring gloves that you can work in. Done by 3:30 pm.

L2C (Learn to Compete) will start their classic roller ski from the Gellatly Nut Farm at 8 am. After Lunch they will lead the activities for the Track Attack and T2T. The L2C will transition to approximately an hour and a half of trail clearing; bring gloves that you can work in. Done by 3:30 pm.

Coaches will be heading down to Glenrosa Middle School for a technical coaching session. This session is open to all Telemark coaches who are comfortable with roller skiing. Details and homework are available Here!

Internal Ski Swap – If you have gear or clothing (including team clothing) which has been outgrown please bring it Saturday. It might be a good time to figure out what you will need for the coming season. Coaches are around at the beginning of the lunch break for advice.

Telemark Team Clothing has been sorted out today. There is a discount code for the delivery if one orders before October 29th. The discount code is TELEMARK2020. Details about the clothing are found on our website here! This year there is a Puffy Jacket option which will only be available until October 29th. The Puffy Jacket will also be delivered to the club in one group shipment instead of the individually. The Puffy is a rebranded “Sport Tech” jacket so it should fit similarly to the older “Sport Tech” jackets we have around.
