NST Strength and CST Results are IN

September 19, 2013 Posted by Coach Adam

Hello SKi Fans,

The Strength Test is pretty straight forward. You Get 1 minute to do each exercise in the order below and 1 minute between exercises. You then get 1 point per repetition for all exercises except Pullups which is worth 3 points each. Click on the results twice to review them. Below is the Current Results, a summary of 2009-2013 results and the breakdown of the standard for each exercise. Most of the TR1s and JDs need to be physically stronger to be competitive.

The National Ski Team Critical Speed Test is not nearly as simple. There are some formulas and math. Basically there is a standard for Running times for 3000m and 1000m and then these times create a standard for the critical speed number in Meters per Minute. In Black is the times we recorded last week. In Red is the Standard times to become a great ski racer. There is also a Summary of the 2009-2013 years of results. The results show that most of the group needs some work in the speed department. We will work on these things before the next test on October 29th ;o)
