Happy end of summer everybody! We have a lot of fun coming up this fall, and it’s time to get those tips on your poles! Upcoming events:
Next week:
Thursday – Time to get back used to, or learn how to, roller ski! Bankhead Elementary at 6 pm. Bring helmets, bright or reflective clothes, gloves, and poles. Bring roller skis if you have them, and I’ll make sure the team loaners are there too. We’ll do some skills and drills and a game or two. I might sneak in a little strength. This helps you get ready for…
The week after:
Tuesday – The famous, the mighty, the hilarious Telemark Roller Ski Triathlon! Time to spend some quality time at the nut farm! Swim, roller ski, run. Distances for all ages, and a non-rollerski option for new athletes.
Thursday – Another SK rollerski session at Bankhead! The dryland camp is just over a week after this session, so this is a great opportunity to polish those mad weight transfer skills!
Saturday – The first of our Telemark Fall Day Camps! More details later, but the TJR/TR1 gang will meet at Helen Gorman Elementary and ski up to meet the JD kids for a run and some more fun! Details to come.
See Coach Adam’s earlier post about the dryland camp September 16-18. Sign up early! It is a huge amount of fun! Plus, I learned a new game on the river this summer that is awesome!
