Hello Everyone
There has been alot of back and forth converstion about the potential cancellation of Western Championships in Canmore next weekend January 11-14. We are now acting on the assumption that they WILL BE CANCELLED due to the extreme cold weather being expected. That being said the Chief of Competition and organization committee have been working hard on creating a potential back up plan and one option would be moving the race one week later to JANUARY 18-21. This has not been confirmed yet, however, meeting have been taking place Sunday evening with the hopes to have a decision for Monday. PLEASE WATCH YOUR EMAILS FOR ANY UPDATES. Emails could be from your coaches and/or the Race organizer themselves. Thank you so muchf ro your understanding. Variable weather is apart of our sport, and the race organizers have been working very hard to try and make the best decision with the safety of the athletes in mind. These are never easy decisions to make. Any details we aquire will be communicated.
