First Week of March

Hello Ski Fans,

The relay racing sure looked like fun on Saturday. We have an exciting weekend of team only race simulations this coming Weekend. We like the Bibs. I have decided to give you all one bib number for the rest of the season. You can again make your bib and use this one for all other 2021 club Race Simulations. Start list for Bibs will be below. Please try to stay 3 meters apart at all times!

Team Telemark Values: Adventure, Camaraderie, Integrity and Excellence

Sunday March 7th 2021 Team Only Classic Mock Kelowna Apple Loppet. Saturday March 6th 2021 will be the Team Only Skate Technique Race Simulation Okanagan Cup Championships

  • Home Made Bib Required
  • 9 am Meet your Group
  • 9:30 am Interval Start
  • We will all race on the “4.4km” Race Loop; this is the “3.6 km” plus Easy Street
  • The Start finish area will be at the top of the terrain park
  • You will start with the “A Climb”
  • U16 and Track Attack will race one Lap
  • Saturday will be the long race day for Track Attack and Short for everyone else
  • U18 will race two Laps
  • 4.4 km Map Below

Sunday March 7th 2021 Team Only Classic Mock Kelowna Apple Loppet

  • Home Made Bib Required
  • 9 am Meet your group Classic Technique
  • 9:30 am Stadium Race Start
  • Track Attack will race the Biathlon Blue 3.3 km which is Rabbit, Telemark Cut Thru and Heart Break Hill before returning to the stadium Map Below

Sunday March 7th 2021 Team Only Classic Mock Kelowna Apple Loppet

  • Home Made Bib Required
  • 9 am Meet your group Classic Technique
  • 9:30 am Stadium Race Start
  • All Athletes U14 and older can choose their race Distance from:
    • 3.3 km The Blue 3.3 km above
    • 6.6 km Two times the Blue 3.3 km 2 x 3.3 = ~6.6 km
    • ~15 km Leg 1 of The Full Loppet which is ~ 15 km; Lit Rabbit, Telemark, Panorama, Telemark DH, Dark Rabbit Cut Thru, Forest Memory and Heart Break Hill
    • ~ 10 km Leg 1 Minus Panorama; Lit Rabbit, Telemark, Dark Rabbit Cut Thru, Forest Memory and Heart Break Hill
    • 30 km Leg 1 and Leg 2 The Maps below describe this best.

Tuesday March 2nd 2021 is a Classic night. Track Attack Skate

  • L2C Learn to Compete 5-7:30 pm Double Pole Focus and Volume; Timing Hut
  • T2T Train to Train 5:50-7:30 pm Double Pole Focus and Volume; Kar Hill
  • Track Attack 6-7:30 pm; Elliot Hill

Thursday February 5th 2021 is a Skate

  • L2C Learn to Compete 5-7:30 pm Ski Specific Strength and Variety Pack Sprints; Timing Hut
  • T2T Train to Train 5:50-7:30 pm Offset Focused ski technique; Kar Hill

The Mission of the Telemark Race Program is to deliver a good experience for the members while providing a supportive encouraging and progressively structured training environment so that they may achieve their goals of sports excellence
