Regional Camp Update

November 20, 2014 Posted by Coach Adam

Hello Ski Fans,

There is Skiing! Silver Star has done a lot of work to get the trail system ready for us to use this weekend. It is snowing as we speak. Here are the highlights:

2014-15 Nordic Opening @ Silver Star Mountain

  • Every XC skiers needs a valid trail pass and it needs to be visible on their person while on the trails at all times.
  • Pinnacles Rd is closed to all XC ski traffic / foot traffic. This is a natural access point guests staying at both the Pinnacles Suite Hotel and SameSun Hostel to the Silver Star Upper trails however it serves as a major snowmobile route for our Mountain ops staff as they go about opening the mountain for alpine skiing while avoiding Main Street during our early season xc period.
  • Currently there is 12KM of rolled cross country trails starting  / finishing from the Village. Please visit our website for further  / update early season trail maps http://winter.skisilverstar.com/nordic
  • Stay on open trails only. Early season hazards exist.
  • Have fun and happy trails

Remember that the Packing list is in the Camp Notice HERE. The Packing List does recommend Rock Skis so if possible do not bring brand new skis to the camp.
