Great turnout for Okanagan Cup 1
Telemark racers were well represented at the Okanagan Cup 1 in Revelstoke this past weekend. An amazing 45 racers, including 12 race team parents/coaches, braved the chilly -10 conditions.
The event was also the qualifying race for the BC Winter Games, Okanagan Zone, and it appears that Telemark will be well represented. The top 2 male and female skiers for each year of birth (2001 and 2002) automatically qualify but usually the Okanagan Zone ends up sending 5 athletes due to our larger numbers. Official zone teams will be announced shortly.
Big thanks to the coaches and parents who assisted with coaching, warming up the kids and waxing.
