Housing Help Required

April 24, 2017 Posted by Jill

We have 4 young cross country skiers moving to Kelowna to train with our high performance group this season and they are looking for a place to rent. One skier is from Strathcona Nordic (Tallon) and three others are from Hollyburn (Jenna, Fran and Phillip).

These young people will be attending either Okanagan College, UBC-O or Kelowna Secondary School AND skiing at Telemark in between, so ideally need to be centrally located. Areas like old Glenmore,  downtown, Capri, Guisachan, hospital, college and the lower mission area and close to the main bus route linking downtown/college/UBC-O. Possession could be as early as July or August.

This is note if from Tallon’s Mom and Dad Barb Matson & Bill Noble: “They are seeking a minimum three bedroom house or suite to rent, in central Kelowna, anywhere between Okanagan College and the University. They are willing to sign a year-long lease, or just til spring 2018, whichever suits the landlord.  Tallon, Jenna, Phillip and Fran are “clean living” young athletes, non-drinkers and non-smokers.  They are responsible young adults who will all be very busy studying and training. ”

If anyone knows of any accommodation like this please contact me (jill@teamtelemark.ca) or email Tallon’s Mom Barb (dvcrk11@yahoo.ca).

Please feel free to re-post this to your friends or relatives who might be able to offer assistance.

Thanks very much.

Help Needed

April 13, 2017 Posted by Coach Adam

Hello Ski Fans,

We are looking to Billet a highly motivated skier for the next school year in Kelowna. He will be 16 this year. Please contact me if you are interested. A Note from Cole’s Mom (Lisa):

“We are looking for a fantastic family for room and board that is willing to help Cole get to where he needs to be on a regular basis (school, training, Telemark Nordic).  Ideally it would be a family already involved with your program so they understand the commitment necessary for success. Other than skiing, Cole is fairly low maintenance.  He has no medications or allergies. He is a solid student and able to manage his time independently.  If the location is not too remote, Cole is able to get himself to where he needs to using; public transit, bike or walking.  Cole is easy to be around and great with younger kids.  If he is accepted into the sport school – he’ll need room and board from September to June.  Cole will be 16 at the start of school.”

Thank You,

Adam Elliot
