As I mentioned on the previous post it looks like we are in for some quite cold weather. We will modify our lesson plans to minimize standing around. But here are some suggestions as a former Winnipeger…
-Xc ski mitts / lobsters or thinner dowhill type mitts rather than gloves
-Toques rather than headbands
-Merino wool socks
-A buff or balaclava thin enough to fit under the toque. Breathing cold air is not good when working hard
-Toe warmers that have a sticky side – put them on the top of the toes. You won’t even notice them except you will have warm toes.
-An extra layer of long underwear / tights or an extra thin jacket.
