Raffle Ticket Return by Feb27th

With the approach of the BC Championship weekend comes the wind down of our second annual raffle ticket fund raiser. All ticket books and money must be returned no later than Thu Feb  27th in preparation for the March 2nd draw. The sooner the better!!  You can return ticket books and payment to me (Deepa), Andrew H. or to the Telemark office. If you are paying by cheque, please write your ticket numbers on the cheque (e.g., 301-320). If you pay by cash please enclose your completed ticket stubs and cash in and envelope with your name on it.

Thank you to the Shipley/Tysons, Filatows, and the office who have returned both completed books and money!!

I still have 15 unclaimed books. This represents $3000 of potential revenue. If you think you can sell more tickets please contact me ASAP to get more tickets (email). You can return what you don’t sell if it is above and beyond the mandatory book per athlete. Take them to work. Go door to door. Call the relatives. This is easy money to support our very worthy athletes and the more we sell the more advertising for our sponsors and potential to attract sponsors next year.

Our 2nd annual winter raffle is under way! Each athlete is responsible to sell a minimum of 1 book of 20 tickets ($5 a ticket, $100 a book). As voted in the last parent meeting, this mandatory book is to be payed for up front by making a cheque out to Telemark Nordic Club. If this is a problem for any family please come see me. Families and athletes who have not fulfilled their required $250 of fund-raising effort, take this opportunity to sell MORE books!! About half our athletes have picked up their tickets. Please seem me (Coach Deepa) if you have not got your tickets yet. I will be available at the next parent meeting, in Price George and at most all-team and JD practices.
Raffle ticket sales can provide great teaching moments and life learning opportunities for young athletes. Write a script; practice what you will say; start with relatives and work your way up. Skills learned may one day help when you are asking for something bigger, like a job, or someone’s hand in marriage ; )
