TELEMARK PROGRAMS COVID PLAN Update and Meeting

Telemark Group Training Rules

Before you Arrive

  • Once per season Athletes and Parents must fill out and sign the CCBC online Participant Agreement acknowledging their acceptance of the risks
  • Before Every Training Session All individuals have completed the online self-assessment tool

Arrival and Departure at Telemark

  • Masks are to be worn from the car to the Group Rally Point and Vice-versa. A buff is not an acceptable mask substitute. Hand Sanitizer is also required to be carried by athletes
  • No equipment is shared; skier should carry their own water
  • The Telemark Programs have staggered start times to avoid large groups

Rally Points

  • L2C at the Timing Hut; Boo’s Trail
  • T2T at the Finish Sprint Hill; Krar Hill
  • Track Attack at the Sprint Course Sign; Elliot Hill

Distance

  • Program Participants need to maintain a minimum of 2 meters distance from each other unless masked
  • Physical Contact is to be avoided

Group Size

  • Maximum Athletes in a Ski Program Group is 12
  • Some groups require additional support from parents to help encourage our rules. We should try to avoid more than 1 parent for every 4 skiers
  • A group list is at the bottom of this page

Travel

  • Carpooling is not recommended
  • Van use and Car shuttling are not permitted
  • Cross-Regional and Inter-Provincial Travel are not currently permitted

Coaching

  • Coach ensures that athletes have been screened for Covid Symptoms
  • A Record of Participants is Maintained
  • Coach reminds athletes of the rules at the beginning of the session

If you get Sick

  • Athletes are required to inform their head coach if they get sick immediately
  • Positive Covid test results are required to be shared with the athlete’s head coach immediately

Athletes and Parents are encouraged to join me for a zoom meeting tonight to discuss these Safety Protocols.

Saturday Program Event Timelines; Skate

Covid Rule Updates This Week. We have made some adjustments to the Covid rules this week and will formalize the new rules for the beginning of next week. At the moment we have reverted back to the An earlier set of rules as our base guidelines. We are also implementing Staggered Start Times, Smaller group sizes and Group Specific meeting locations. Carrying a mask for medical emergencies is mandatory.

Saturday Skate Stations

Learn to Compete

8:30 1 Offset Station (Timing Hut), 8:55 2 Obstacle Relay (west end of stadium), 9:20 3 One Skate Technique Station (hill at the start of Forest Lane), 9:55 4 Turning Technique Station (terrain park) and 10:20 Race Station (Biathlon Stadium)

Train to Train T2T-2

9:00 5 Race Station (Biathlon Stadium) 9:25 1 Offset Station (Timing Hut), 9:50 2 Obstacle Relay (west end of stadium), 10:15 3 One Skate Technique Station (hill at the start of Forest Lane) and 10:40 4 Turning Technique Station (terrain park)Current group members: Aya, Camille, Catherine, Caitlyn, Chloe, Kaelin, Lauren, Sylvie, Mika A, Rowan Musselman Bell and Tyler.

Train to Train 1 T2T-1

9:00 1 Offset Station (Timing Hut), 9:25 2 Obstacle Relay (west end of stadium), 9:50 3 One Skate Technique Station (hill at the start of Forest Lane), 10:15 4 Turning Technique Station (terrain park) and 10:40 Race Station (Biathlon Stadium)

Track Attack

Track Attack will meet at the Sprint Course sign at the east end of the stadium. The group will be split in two before heading out to their stations.

Track Attack Group “1” will head to the terrain park #4 Turning Technique Station (terrain park), 9:55 #5 Race Station (Biathlon Stadium), 10:20 #1 Offset Station (Timing Hut), 10:45 #2 Obstacle Relay (west end of stadium) and 11:10 #3 One Skate Technique Station (hill at the start of Forest Lane)

Track Attack Group “2” will head to the Biathlon Stadium for the #5 Race Station 9:55 #1 Offset Station (Timing Hut), 10:20 #2 Obstacle Relay (west end of stadium), 10:45 #3 One Skate Technique Station (hill at the start of Forest Lane) and 11:10 #4 Turning Technique Station (terrain park)

We could really use parent help tomorrow with running stations and Clean up afterwards.
