Covid Plan Update December 3rd

December 4, 2020 Posted by Coach Adam

Hello Ski Fans,

Classic Technique Session Postponed until the Province’s Covid Rules change in regard to Adult sport.

The Province Changed the sport rules yesterday. You can check this out here: December 3rd 2020 Update. The base of the rules is Phase 2 return to sport which we had already voluntarily reverted to on November 23rd. All of our Covid Plan is available here.

The main changes are:

  • 3 Meters is the new spacing minimum for sport.
  • Carpooling is not permitted
  • 19 Plus Age Programs are Suspended; Sorry Masters Program. Targeted Athletes are exempt from this rule; Clair and Francis are allowed to continue to train with their groups

Here are the main Covid Safety Protocols: Telemark Group Training Rules; December 3rd 2020 Update

“Don’t be the Reason we ruin our Season”

Before you Arrive

  • Once per season Athletes and Parents must fill out and sign the CCBC online Participant Agreement acknowledging their acceptance of the risks
  • Before Every Training Session All individuals have completed the online self-assessment tool
  • 19 Plus Age Programs are Temporarily Suspended (December 3rd 2020)

Arrival and Departure at Telemark

  • Masks are to be worn from the car to the Group Rally Point and Vice-versa. A buff is not an acceptable mask substitute. Hand Sanitizer is also required to be carried by athletes
  • No equipment is shared; skier should carry their own water
  • The Telemark Programs have staggered start times to avoid large groups

  • Physical Contact is to be avoided

Group Size

  • Maximum Athletes in a Ski Program Group is 12
  • Some groups require additional support from parents to help encourage our rules. We should try to avoid more than 1 parent for every 4 skiers
  • A group list is below

  • Cross-Regional and Inter-Provincial Travel are not currently permitted

Coaching
