An incredibly successful Kelowna Cycle cyclocross fundraiser

Many thanks to the numerous people who supported this event which raised over $1000 for the Telemark race team.

Special thanks goes out to Patrick Rosen, Michael Swan Cambridge and the rest of the gang at Kelowna Cycle for promoting and putting on this event as well as slaving over the grill and bringing a great collection of prizes for the race! Unfortunately Kelowna Cycle were not able to participate much at the ski swap this year as all the older ski equipment got destroyed in the fire. The good news is that the newly renovated Kelowna Cycle store is fully stocked with fabulous new gear that is available to all race team members at discount pricing throughout the season. Kelowna Cycle continues to donate cash to both the Nordic and Telemark clubs and heavily subsidizes the waxes for the race team.

Thank you to Shawn Audette for coming up to build the course on Saturday with the race team parents, and designing our little running loop and to Darrin Caruso for all the support and cross course building materials.

A big thanks to Scott Davis for his fantastic announcing and Barry for bringing his full sound system. Felt like the big leagues!
The Telemark race team families helped with every stage of the event, from scoring to building the course and tearing it down again.
Thanks to all of you for coming up, racing, having fun, laughing while running through the slush and muck, and most importantly, for supporting the Telemark race team.
Last, but not least, a big thank you to Paul Shipley who dedicated A LOT of time and effort to co-ordinate everything. If you see him out on the trails, let him know you appreciate him.
