Annual Jack-o-lantern Shoot Saturday! Plus more news

November 1, 2019 Posted by Coach Adam

What:The first Saturday after Halloween we bring out our Jack-o-Lanterns to the Telemark Biathlon range and set them up as targets for the kids to shoot at. It’s a fun event and we have a bunch of Telemark coaches who will be on hand to help out kids not part of the biathlon program. Telemark Biathlon provides the coaches, biathlon rifles and ammunition.
When: Saturday Nov 2nd 9:00-10:00 2019
Arrive at the Telemark Biathlon Range at 8:50 to sign insurance forms. Please bring $10 for the insurance and ammunition
What to bring

  • Your jack-o-lantern
  • A bag to clean up the pumpkin bits afterwards (to prevent attracting wild animals)
  • Warm clothes
  • Please also have parents complete the day license application for participants under 19 years of age. If parents come with their children, then they can complete the form at the range.  Here is the link to the form http://biathlonbc.ca/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/BiBC102-Day-Membership-Application.pdf

We’ll be done by 10:00 so there will be lots of time to jump into the work party/scheduled practices afterwards.
The point of contact for the event is Coach Murray: luciemurray@shaw.ca
