Teck Okanagan Regional Dryland Camp, September 13 th – 15 th 2024

Revelstoke Nordic is hosting a dryland training camp based out of Blanket Creek Provincial Park.

Host Club: Revelstoke Nordic

Camp Dates and Times :

·     Friday, September 13 th beginning at 7:00pm until Sunday, September 15 th at 11:30am

Eligibility: Skiers born 2014 – 2007

Location: Group Sites 1&2 at Blanket Creek Provincial Park , 25km south of Revelstoke.

Registration: Eligible athletes AND coaches must register through zone4.ca until 10:59pm on Friday, September 6 th 2024

Camp Fee:

Includes camping fees for Friday and Saturday night and the following meals: Saturday lunch and dinner. Participants must provide their own dinner Friday evening before the camp begins and breakfast for Saturday and Sunday. Also includes a Tech t0shirt for all registered athletes.

  • $70 for eligible athletes
  • Free for Coaches (must be L2T trained or higher, must have Safesport training
  • $40 Coach helpers (must be CC trained, must have Safesport training

Schedule: The schedule will be finalized and sent out to registrants once registration closes.

Food:

  • Lunch and Dinner on Saturday will be provided. All other meals must be supplied by the participants.
  • Participants should bring their own daily snacks and drinks (drinking water is available at the park).
  • All participants need to bring their own camp dishware including a plate, bowl, cup and utensils. We will provide a dish cleaning area for use post-meal.

Camping:

  • Blanket Creep Provincial Park, 2 group camp sites. Participants do not need to reserve a site: your zone4 registration confirms your space. Arrive at group site on Friday and set up in your preferred location within sites 1&2.
  • Other family members are welcome to arrange their own campsite and meals at Blanket Creek, however, only registered athletes, coaches and coach helpers will be allowed to stay at the group site and eat camp meals.
  • Drinking water is available on site.
  • There are two toilets at the group sites and several nearby.
  • There are no shower facilities at Blanket Creek Park.

Packing List:

  • BC Care Card
  • Snacks and sport drinks plus breakfast for Saturday and Sunday morning (and a plan for Sunday lunch as it is NOT provided)
  • Camp dishware and utensils
  • Tent / RV / Trailer
  • Sleeping mat, sleeping bag, pillow
  • Personal hygiene and sun protection items
  • Towel
  • Bathing suit
  • Training clothes for conditions ranging from warm and dry to cold and wet
  • Casual clothes for conditions ranging from warm and dry to cold and wet (include warm jacket for cool evenings)
  • Running shoes
  • Casual footwear
  • Rollerski equipment (skate rollerskis (U14 and younger), classic rollerskis (U16 and up), boots, poles, helmets and reflective vests)
  • Ski striding poles (10-15cm shorter than classic poles)
  • Water bottle and carrier/water belt/running
  • Headlamp
  • Frisbee for disc golf
