PG TRIP HIGHLIGHTS

February 4, 2013 Posted by Ross

PG TRIP HIGHLIGHTS

Well the road were good, except the rocks. They don’t use sand in the North they use Crushed Boulders! All three cars that went up now will be visiting the autoglass repair stores!

Only a small team attended the BC champs in Price George and with only 8 racers (6 athletes, 2 coaches) placed 5th overall! Big thanks to Adam for all his hardwork and amazing waxing. We had phenomenal grip and glide, some of the best wax ever! Though I never thought it would rain in PG in early Feb!

Some Highlights included:
The juv. boys sprinted for silver in the junior relay category, against the top junior skiers in BC. Good Job Gareth, James and David. All three skiers had great races and it’s a good thing the boys practice lunging for the line!
The midget boys skied very well to finish 4th in the midget category relay.
Individual medals for Ian and Gareth (Gold) and Grayson (silver) in saturdays classic race

Aggregate winners for the club were
1st overall: Nikhil Filatow, Gareth Williams and Alex Myshak-Davis
2nd overall: Grayson McKinnon
3rd overall: Garret Siever and Ian Williams.

Amazing work Nikhil and Garret!!!
