Our very own Gareth Williams (who has been skiing at Telemark from the age of 5) qualified to represent Canada at the 2017 FIS Nordic Junior and U23 World Ski Championships. This is a first for our team!! Also selected as an alternate for the U23 Men’s team is Thomas Hardy who is from Larch Hills but is training with Telemark. Congratulations also to our other High Performance athletes who performed very well (Alex MacDonald, David Walker and Hannah Mehain) in a huge field of more than 600 racers from across North America! And special recognition to Coach Adam who meticulously planned our athletes’ training cycle to peak at the right time. I am also certain that he nailed the wax. He always does.
Gareth also has an opportunity to compete in Europe this winter. You can help support him financially by making a donation here https://www.gofundme.com/2nq7ae9p
To all of our High Performance athletes…We are VERY PROUD OF YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS and the manner in which you are INSPIRING OUR YOUNGER GENERATION OF SKIERS.
