TR1 / TJR Dec 10th & 12th

Parent volunteers will be needed to guide and assist with coaching tonight.  Due to icy conditions at Telemark I have moved the practice to trail running at Rose Valley Elementary at 6pm.

 

Dec 12th – for those not racing at Sovereign lake there will be a combined practice with the JD group at Telemark on Saturday.  Check the calender for details.

Dec 12&13th Sovereign Lake NorAm – check the website later in the week for Adam’s race management plan.  Bring a watch to the races to keep track of time and to assist with your pre race warmup.

 

Tr1 / TJR Tuesday December 8th Classic 6pm

We will ski classic with or without a track.  The forecast is looking very warm with precipitation so be prepared for tricky waxing.

Best bet is to clean the grip wax off your skis, then make them into ‘hairies’, i.e sand the grip zone to make it rough with 100 grip sandpaper.  Video here (don’t worry about the Helix spray part).

We can then use the ‘hairies’ or apply the wax of the day (or dare I say Klister).

So bring the wax box, heat guns, wax remover, hand cleaner, towels and a putty knife.

Parents it is these conditions where we need extra help waxing to please stick around to help!
