I am putting out this post as a ‘call of interst’ to see who might be interested in attending the 2019 ICWG in Lake Placid. This is a multi-sport winter games and is much a cultural experiences as a competetive race experience. To find out more about what the ICWG is please go to https://www.lakeplacid2019.com/who-we-are/
The city of Kelowna team can accommodate 2 cross country skiers this year; one boy and one girl aged 12 (as of January 1st, 2019) to 15 (as of Dec 31st ,2019). One coach will also be required and that is TBD.
The event is scheduled for January 6th to 11th. Here is a link to the cross country technical package to see complete event information including the dates and race events.

If there is sufficient interest and we need to make a selection we will follow the selection procedure similar to the one we utilized back in 2016 when a group of Team Telemark skiers attended the ICWG in Innsbruck. Please contact Ross McKinnon if you are wondering about what that experience was like as he was the coach and his son Grayson attended.
