Upcoming Training

August 14, 2013 Posted by Coach Adam

2013 Telemark Haig Glacier

Hello Ski Fans,

Tomorrow, August 15th 2013 is a practise session for our Annual Roller Ski Triathlon on September 7th 2013. The majority os the time will be spent on Running and Roller Skiing but we will also do a short swim at the end of practise followed by a practise transition from Swim to Roller Skiing. You will need: Run stuff, Skate Boots and Poles, Roller Skis, Helmet, Gloves, Vest, water, swim wear and a towel. This is a great opportunity to do something a little different and have some fun. Everyone is welcome! Even beginners roller skiers with brand new skis.

Previous year race details can be found here:

Saturday August 17th will be our big up hill time trial. It is a good course for a real test. One of the fastest U23 Canadian Skiers holds the record of 16:57. past results are available here: https://race.teamtelemark.ca/regional-camp-registration-deadline-friday-sept-14th-triathlon-results/

This is a great photo! It can not show just how tight my hamstrings are from trying to keep up with the speedy descending ladies. Next time I will run my own pace on the downs. Over 30 years of racing now and still making some of the same mistakes. It really felt like I only took part in a third of the event since I left without seeing most of my friends finish and hearing about their adventures perhaps even enjoying a little Sushi. Next time will be different. Thanks to people like Rene, Meghan, Ron and Warren for inspiring me to participate!

Until Next Time,

Adam
