NCCP Community Coach (CC) Workshop
Dec 9-10, 2023 Telemark Nordic Club – Kelowna
The “CC” Workshop is the third step in the NCCP coach education program. It provides essential training for coaches delivering an effective skill development program to children six to nine years of age (the “FUNdamentals” stage of athlete development. This program is designed to train coaches to teach children technical skills, select games that reinforce the technical skills being taught, design and lead on-snow sessions, select and prepare equipment for young children and make learning FUN.
Prerequisites: Successful completion of the CAC Coach Initiation in Sport online module (1hr) & the Intro to Community Coaching (ICC) Online module (5hrs) & a minimum age of 14 years on the first day of the CC workshop.
Date & Time: 13 hours Dec 9-10, 2023
Tentative Schedule:
- Saturday Dec 9 – 8:30-15:30 (Classic skiing)
- Sunday Dec 10 – 8:30-14:30 (Skate skiing)
Location: West Kelowna (Telemark Nordic Centre)
Cost: $108 for CCBC members ($200 for non-members)

Equipment: Bring a Laptop, pen and paper and a desire to learn. Remember to dress in layers and bring your ski equipment for on-snow sessions.
